How to apply?

-For non-EU/EFTA citizens: You must obtain a long-stay visa (D visa) before entering Switzerland. The application must be submitted to the Swiss embassy or consulate in your country of residence. Once in Switzerland, you will need to register with the cantonal migration authorities.

Licence renewal:

-Renewal: Temporary residence permits (L and B) must be renewed before they expire. The renewal process usually involves submitting new documents and ongoing verification of your eligibility.
-Change of status: If your situation changes (for example, if you switch from being a student to an employee), you will need to inform the authorities and possibly apply for a new type of permit.
